Is XnView M Post by helmut » Thu May 12, 2016 3:33 pm ng4ever wrote:I went with IrfanView for now but convince me to go to XnView or XnView MP please! The difference of XnView and IrfanView is not so much the functionality, it's mainly the user interface:Please try out and compare XnView's browser and IrfanView's browser and you'll see: The user interface of XnView is much like Windows Explorer; clean, intuitive, and easy to use. IrfanView's "browser" is more like a special dialog or add-on which allows for working with multiple files but which isn't integrated well in the rest of the program. Therefore I'd say: If you want a program for viewing single images, only, then IrfanView does its job as good as XnView. For both viewing single images and handling and managing multiple images, you better use XnView. omniplex Posts: 127 Joined: Thu Feb 10, 2011 1:52 pm Location: Hamburg Contact: Re: XnView Minimal, Standard, or Extended ? There might be people who'd like 98/90/80/70 while others would prefer 90/75/60/40 or such. How about a simple config-textfile where we can put our own values?Like this:Code: Select alljpegquality1=98jpegquality2=90jpegquality3=70jpegquality4=10would produce a flyout-submenu for the JPG menu itemCode: Select allJPG > Quality1: 98 Quality2: 90 Quality3: 70 Quality4: 10 xnview Author of XnView Posts: 45463 Joined: Mon Oct 13, 2003 7:31 am Location: France Contact: Post by xnview » Thu Jun 22, 2006 8:52 am Crysler wrote:Like 4 fixed settings to choose from?Yes I'd like that, but then again: which four to choose?
