“Daddy?„~ Springtrap to Matt in "In the Flesh".Springtrap is a supporting antagonist in the Five Nights at Freddy's: Fazbear Frights book series, based on William Afton's undead form by the same name. He's the main antagonist of the stories "In the Flesh" and "What We Found".Biography[]In the Flesh[]Springtrap is the main antagonist of Springtrap's Revenge, an in-universe virtual reality videogame which hasn't yet been released. Matt, the game's main developer, studied real life serial killer's stories to make Springtrap look as scary and unsettling as possible, using him as a way to vent the rage he feels due to all his previous relationships failing. While testing the game, Matt gets repeatedly jumpscared by Springtrap. Furious for being beaten by his own creation, Matt takes a "revenge" on Springtrap by leaving the game open the whole night, forcing Springtrap to roam for the virtual maze without no one to kill, and making so that each second which passes is perceived by Springtrap thousands of hours. When Matt comes back to his studio the following day, he discovers that Springtrap, left without anybody to attack, decided to spawn a stronger copy of himself. Said copy killed the original Springtrap and spawned another copy, with the cycle continuing. However, by the time Matt reached the office, no copy of Springtrap can be found and the files associated with him appear to have been corrupted. Matt becomes desperate, since the the game is due to release in just two weeks, and, at the end, decides to create a new Springtrap AI to replace the old one. Throughout the following days, Matt starts to experience nausea, gain weight and crave meat to an unhealthy extent. At first, Matt doesn't think much of it, but as his health progressively worsens, he starts thinking there may be something more. Coming back home after a failed date with a girl named Emma, Matt realizes there's something inside him. He presses on his stomach, trying to make it leave it through his mouth, but when that fails, he grabs a kitchen knife and cuts his belly, making a more organic version of Springtrap come out of it. Before dying from blood loss, Matt hears the bunny call him "Daddy". Later, the developer's body and a piece of green fur belonging to Springtrap are found by Jason, Matt's roommate, who immediately calls the police.
