Not sure if that's still true. I was going to buy one of their monitors, perhaps the 213T, i don't remember.... I was very impressed by the contrast ratio (?) spec, but it turns out that this particular spec was published/promoted in error. It wasn't as high (good) as Samsung had reported. They admitted the error, but i don't know if this was ever corrected on the website and in various retailers' ads/listings.I had to speak with two or three people at Samsung to get the proper story. You may want to investigate that, if that spec is part of the selling point for Samsung 213T - SyncMaster 213 T Manual. View all Samsung 213T manuals. Add to My Manuals. Contrast ratios(250:1, 400:1, etc.) are always going to be off to a degree. In fact, I am willing to bet 90% of all LCDs out there have MUCH higher/lower published contrast ratios than the actual performance. This is not just the Samsung 213T, this is EVERY monitor. The following link has the story: the International Standard Organization did a crackdown on every LCD manufacturer out there, it would take years for the industry to change their brochures, web sites, product listings, etc.Ze Pequenowrote:Samsung used to manufacture Apple's LCD monitors. I have owned the 191T for about 9 months now and love it. It hardware color calibrates nicely, has one of the widest viewing angles, and gets beautiful color. I would expect the same from the 213T. I'd look around for some more reviews on the web as I don't believe the lowish rating MacWorld gave the 213T is correct. Maybe they just got a bad one? The Samsung rotates and does eveything but move up and down - they conclude its not very flexible? The Apple doesn't rotate, but apparently its flexible?
