However, the microsoft store decided to isntall it automatically dwithout asking where. So I decided, forget all this, I completely uninstalled iTunes, and reinstalled 12.4.3. So, I've found this question for years before, but nothing on any versions past 2016. The options in the previous responses are either a) no longer relevant for the current version of iTunes (i.e., the options they describe are not available), -OR- b) they describe fixes for Mac OS, and I am on Windows.When I switch to a new system (or reset my current system), and I need to reinstall and setup my iTunes library (as I am doing tonight), iTunes *always* starts playing while it imports. For the *ENTIRE* duration of the import, mind you, and there is *no way* that I can find to stop it. It is incredibly annoying.
